The Things Our Kids Say
Today I was thinking about my first Sunday back to church after having my son, our second child. Of course, many wanted to stop by to give hugs and meet brand new Baby Abe.
While we visited and joyfully introduced Abram we had a friend ask our daughter Lyla, who was three at the time, what she liked best about her new brother. Her response, which she said very loudly in an already echoey room was “He drinks milk from the breast!”.
You can bet that comment turned heads from across the room. We could tell there were people thinking “Did someone just yell “Breast”?” Yes, it was child. Please keep in mind that my husband is one of the pastors of our church. Just another win for the pastor’s kid!
A Morning Hike in Sleeping Bear Dunes
Welcome to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. I am Michigan born and raised, so this sight always brings me home (Can you find my shadow?). I thought this would be a nice, sunny post for those of you yearning for summer. Just look at that water!
Happy, Fruity Snowman
I thought others may enjoy seeing the snowman my children built this past winter. We decided to give him fruit features and then watch over the coming days to see what the wildlife in our area enjoyed the most. Surprisingly, they didn’t seem to care much for the banana but everything else was completely cleared off within 72 hours.
